Acne is a skin condition that affects most people at some point in their lives. Spots develop on the skin, on the face, and sometimes on the back and chest too. Acne can range from mild blackheads and whiteheads, to deep, inflamed, pustules and cysts. Deep Acne can be severe, last a long time and can lead to scarring. Often times Acne appears at the onset of puberty, but sometimes later in life, late teens, 20's, 30's and sometimes even later. Keeping your skin clean is important to reduce the likelihood of spreading infections. Keep the skin cleansed twice a day with a mild gentle facial cleaner, but do not scrub your skin, as this often leads to further irritations and skin infections. When choosing a moisturiser, choose a light lotion. Try to stay away from thicker creams as they may further exacerbate the condition. If your symptoms persist, you must seek guidance from your Doctor. If your skin is currently infected, as I said before, you must resist the urge to exfoliate, and use a fresh clean flannel and towel for cleaning your face each and every time.

TOP TIP: Use one of our suggested Facial Oils for Acne - when using a light facial oil on the skin this will stop the over production of Sebum from occurring !!apply sparingly!! This, in itself is a paradox. Because oil is already on the skin, the sebaceous glands simply stop producing more oil. Treating like with like. You will be amazed the effects the oils will have on your skin. Also consider taking supplements, for example Zinc helps to regulate facial oil, so is excellent for both oily and dry skin conditions.
